Broken Promises

Decisions! Decisions!

Are So Hard To Make!

Promises!  Promises!

Are So Easy To Break!

When first she conceived, we both wanted our son.

We faced our transgression, stood fast, didn’t run.

We married! We’re Parents! The prospect was Wild!

Two happy People with a Beautiful Child!

Though I tried for two years at a maddening grule,

I set aside my commitment to Graduate from School.

I went out to look for a job every day,

And I found one that was steady, but had little to Pay.

Between working , and school, I slept three hours every night.

I labored for Love, and that made it alright.

But that wasn’t enough for my ambitious spouse.

She wanted new furniture, two cars, a big House.

And then she got bored, cleaning house wasn’t fun.

She got her own car, and she started to run.

She broke every rule, treated me cruel,

Rejected my Love, made me feel like a fool.

I just couldn’t take it, my feelings weren’t mild.

I hired a Lawyer, a divorce suit was filed.

I thought the decision of Marriage was right,

But its Horrendus failure still Haunts me at night.

So next time I’ll be more careful to whomever I say,

“I Love You” because losing is too much to Pay,

For an Ungrateful Woman, who calls you a Louse,

When she was a Bitch, and an Unfaithful Spouse!
