A Good Neighborhood
What makes a neighborhood good
are the people walking these trails,
who find the way where others fail,
and “Love Thy Neighbor” is understood.
The city of St. Paul was looking for poets for the 8th Annual Sidewalk Poetry contest. The city partners with Public Art Saint Paul to host the contest. They are looking for strong, short, concise, honest, well-written poems, that are to be concise, to the point, but not be boring. The poems can be about anything, but the they can’t exceed 250 characters or 10 lines, and the author must live in St. Paul.
So here is one of my two allowable entries. The other is a poem I posted here earlier entitled “Sidewalk Adorned”.
