Roanoke the Thoroughbred

Author Notes:

This poem is a Calligram. Here is the text of it.

(Poem)

Go for broke
Roanoke

Let the wind give him his head
This horse was born to run
One graceful thoroughbred
Can out run most everyone

So let his natural spirit fly
Don’t be shy
He will personify
The trait that underlies
What his speed implies

This stable stud
Has champion blood
Inside
His mustang hide

A noble steed
Indeed

Toss the reigns
Gallop
Across the terrains
Of the open plains

To inherit the wild wind
And stay unconfined.
