Yellow Rose

Yellow Rose

Yellow Rose

(A 1962 Poem)

.

.
FLOWER,

Captivating sight seen any hour,

With fragrance that’s so sweet.

A Treat!

.
PETAL,

No true artistic soul would settle

For lesser floral sight.

So bright!

.
YELLOW,

With highlights of a radiant glow,

Such as Angel’s halo.

Bravo!

.
ROSE,

The champion at flower shows.

Its beauty, very fine.

Divine!

.

Author Notes

I recently went to the Lake Harriet Rose Garden in Minneapolis, Minnesota. that have an amazing display of several species of rose. This is yellow one is just one. I will likely feature others in the coming days.  The Rose has been a venerated flower since the beginning of recorded time. They have become ancient symbols of love and beauty. There over 100 varieties. They can grow singly, in clusters, as a bush, or in climbing vines.
