A Priest

I serve a King, and still yet man,

As the Roman gladiator.

I battle Evil as best I can

Heaven’s earthly mediator

I hold the power to forgive man’s sin,

Makes them all feel content at heart,

I comfort the sick, and their soul within,

Give their trip to God a start.

And I still yet hold a greater power,

One no other can surpass.

I regret it takes only one short hour,

When I consecrate the Mass.

The whole church drew a peaceful calm,

As if everyone were dead.

Then I lifted HIM up in my own palm,

I had changed plain bread

               to GOD.
