Sacred Snowbird of Superior

Snowbird

Sacred Snowbird of Superior

.

.

Giant snowbird
Come take
A
Deep
Refreshing drink

Slack your thirst
In the cool clear waters
Of
Lake Superior

Sacred Snowbird
White as winter
Wings of solid snow
Dip
Your beak
Drink deep

Too soon
You will be
Gone

Disappearing
Into the silence

Dripping
As you drink

What
Will become of you?

Author Notes
